Review: Koru Naturals, Take Two!

Back in March, I got the chance to review Koru Naturals. Thanks to the Schoolhouse Review Crew, I got another chance to check out some more of their products! For review I received the Skin Clear Cream, Manuka Honey Propolis Soap, and a set of Emu Oil Shampoo and Emu Oil Leave-in Conditioner, all by Koru Naturals.

Now, I suppose everyone wants to hear a bit more than “Wow!” so here we go!

Koru Naturals

In case you don’t know, Koru Naturals is a company dedicated to making incredible products that are all natural. You can find everything from shampoo to lip care to stuff for babies. They opened their doors in 2002, and now have customers in several countries. You won’t find those weird things in these products that make you worry, and even better, no animal testing!

Skin Clear Cream

1 Skin Clear Cream_zpsockdha63This cream is amazing stuff. It contains Manuka honey, burdock, thyme, and other ingredients to make a cream that goes on smooth, soaks into your skin quickly without leaving you greasy, and smells wonderfully. It’s a nice size jar at 4 ounces. Now, you might be thinking that we probably ran out pretty fast. It’s true – there are three people using this cream, myself, Papa Bear, and Boobear. But a little bit goes a very long way, so you don’t need much at all.

Papa Bear gets dry skin easily. He’s also sensitive to things like perfumes and dyes. This cream doesn’t bother him a bit and helps with the dry skin. Only thing that works as well as this cream? Vaseline, which leaves him feeling totally gross.

Like his daddy, Boobear is also sensitive to things like dyes and perfumes. He also gets patches of eczema and his little back is always itching from dry skin. Vaseline was the only thing that worked well, especially when it got colder, but this works great. And he’s not complaining about it at all.

As for me, I have a very unpleasant rash on my upper arms that is caused by an autoimmune issue. Yes, I’m sure you want to know that, but listen – this helped. A lot. It’s on its way to clearing up, something I’ve been struggling to do for months now.

Manuka Honey Propolis Soap

2 Manuka Honey Propolis Soap_zpsccumnmygEver have a soap that the whole family fought over? No? Get this and you will.

This soap is super gentle and has Propolis and Manuka Honey. It helps protect and moisturize your skin without drying it out as it cleans your skin. My husband went nuts over this soap. Boobear loved it too, and we had a little issue with him wanting to just stand there and smell it instead of actually bathing.

Personally, I’m quite sad that we’re out of this soap. Guess what’s on my Christmas list?

Bonus: the soap is shaped like a cell of a honeycomb!

Emu Oil Shampoo and Conditioner

Now on to the Emu Oil Shampoo and Conditioner. This stuff is utterly amazing. It’s full of all natural ingredients that are good for your hair. You end up with hair that is clean, smells good, has few tangles, is shiny, and no where near dry.

I tried it and love it. My hair doesn’t feel weighted down like it sometimes does with things that promise to moisturize. It smells clean but there is no overpowering perfume. Plus, tangles are lessened. Now, I’ve recently cut my hair, so on to Papa Bear for long hair.

Out of the products we were given, this is probably Papa Bear’s favorite (and that’s saying something!) His hair is long enough to touch his mid-back and is thick and curly. He found that this shampoo is easy to rinse out, leaves his hair looking and feeling great, and helps with his tangles. The conditioner he is utterly in love with and has used more than anyone else in the house. It’s a leave-in conditioner, so he can work it through his hair and his hair not only behaves at work, but is protected from the heat in the kitchen he works in.

I tried it on Boobear too, since his hair goes to below his shoulders. Again, we found that his hair was smooth, silky, shiny, and not full of tangles. Boobear likes this shampoo and conditioner and loves how it smells, so he doesn’t fuss about his hair.

I can’t say enough good things about these products or Koru Naturals! If you’re looking for something that won’t aggravate a skin condition, is all natural, isn’t tested on animals, or you just want to check out something new, then I highly recommend you try these.
